You’ll start your tour in the Old Town where a local guide will tell you about the history of this unique city built on the pearl-diving industry. After stopping for a quick cappuccino, you’ll take a stroll along the picturesque boardwalk (El Malecón), and learn about the story behind each iconic statue along the way. Next you’ll visit the Nuestra Señora de la Paz cathedral, followed by small walk downtown.

If you have time you can visit the Museum of Anthropology.

ISLA ESPÍRITU SANTO /

SPECIAL PRIVATE Excursion ( with Nataly and Emmanuel)

Starting at $120

One of Baja California’s most impressive natural treasures! Includes snorkelling with sea lions!

This day-long excursion starts with a one-hour boat ride to Isla Espíritu Santo, an archipelago north of La Paz consisting of five small islands and one large main island. With its stunning volcanic rock formations and deserted beaches, this UNESCO-protected biosphere reserve seems like a place from another world. Isla Espíritu is home to an astonishingly rich variety of birds and sea creatures. Around the island, you’re likely to spot rays, turtles, sharks and dolphins, as well as pelicans, herons and vultures—to name just a few. You’ll also have a chance to snorkel near a colony of sea lions and meet these remarkable creatures up close!

And, last but not least, you’ll get to eat the best ceviche in town on a pristine white-sand beach!

BALANDRA / Discovery tour

The perfect spot for a beach day

When it comes to natural beauty, Balandra is hard to beat. Just a 25-minute drive from La Paz, this secluded beach boasts pristine white sand and shallow turquoise water, surrounded by rock cliffs. It’s the perfect spot to unwind—and take spectacular photos. Since there are no waves, it’s also a great place to go paddle-boarding and kayaking.

Balandra Beach and the surroundings will wow you!

SWIMMING WITH WHALE SHARKS / SPECIAL Excursion

Starting at $80

A once-in-a-lifetime opportunity

La Paz is one of the few places where you can see whale sharks.

This extraordinary sea creature—the largest living fish in the world—can reach lengths of 50 feet or more. With its distinctive white spots and dorsal fins, it can’t be missed! On this excursion you’ll have a chance to swim right beside a whale shark. And don’t worry: they don’t pose any danger to humans. In fact, they might even let you catch a ride.

SUNDAY AT TECOLOTE / Discovery tour

Where Paceños hang out on the weekend

This is where everyone goes on Sunday! Spend the day on the beach, catching rays and swimming in the clear blue sea. In the late afternoon, join locals and expats at a popular beach bar to listen to live music and enjoy the best margaritas in Baja. It’s a day you’ll never want to end!

SCUBA DIVING / SPECIAL Excursion

Price upon request

Discover why divers love La Paz

The Gulf of California, or Sea of Cortez, is bordered by the long peninsula of Baja California to the west and mainland Mexico to the east, creating a perfect habitat for marine life. In fact, it’s home to one of the richest ecosystems in the world, which makes it a top spot for scuba divers. Expect to see sea lions, whale sharks, hammerhead sharks, rays, dolphins and huge schools of fish. There’s a reason Jacques Cousteau called this sea “the world’s aquarium”!

TODOS SANTOS and LOS CERRITOS / Discovery tour

A magical village in the heart of the desert

Some 80 km from La Paz lies the charming village of Todos Santos, a tiny oasis in the midst of the stark desert landscape. As you explore its cobblestone streets, colonial architecture, artisan shops and organic food offerings, you’ll soon see why Todos Santos has been designated a pueblo mágico. In the afternoon, we’ll make our way to Los Cerritos, a beautiful white sand beach with some of the best surfing on the Baja.
